I had to choose between subscribing to Unherd and to your Substack. Here I am! I wanted to comment on your Why Progress isn't Feminist. I knew the old-style feminist 'body acceptance' was over when it became normal for high school girls to get boob jobs and nose jobs. Those were often daughters of old hippies, by the way. Then 'mommy makeovers' became expected. As an older mom of six with saggy boobs and a C-section belly, it was a bit tempting. But since I was busy running marathons, I didn't want to mess up my body. But I always felt like I was being pushed into 'looking better' than my age by the culture. Now I say, "Love me or leave me.". Love your work!

Congratulations! It's now on my must read as quickly as possible list. I've been flogging your insights all about here in America's North East to very good reviews. Perhaps a faint spark of sanity will ensue?

Still several weeks away for the US, but I've pre-ordered. Reading your book's Amazon blurb, I couldn't help but be reminded of ""Loin du 16eme" from "Paris, je t'aime". Well worth five minutes of your time is you are not familiar with it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Q8pwwA0_q4

Ordered in the US! Interesting side note here. The immediate recommendation from Amazon was Thomas Sowell's forthcoming book "Social Justice Fallacies". At first I found it an odd recommendation, but as I binge watched a slew of videos of you in conversation over the past couple of days, it started making more sense (even if it was just a incidental, not contextual recommendation). Since your book is due out before his, it wouldn't surprise me to discover you beat him to the punch with a several of your observations. Maybe you two can have a chat while warming yourselves over the torches of the mob when it comes for you both. :D

I wonder why readers in the U.S. get a less epic cover (as indicated on Amazon anyway). Catering to trad protestants maybe?

I am 36 minutes into the audiobook and it is extremely insightful. Can’t wait until tomorrow to listen some more.
